CONGRATULATIONS FROM USA

Journalista! da cuenta de los premios del Saló:

A number of awards were handed out at last weekend’s Saló Internacional del Còmic in Barcelona. Miguelanxo Prado won the Gran Premió del Saló; Max’ book Bardín el Superrealista hit the trifecta, winning the Best Book, Best Drawing and Best Script prizes; Dan Clowes’ Ice Haven earned its creator the judges’ prize for best foreign work, while Howard Cruse earned the popular prize in the same category for his book, Stuck Rubber Baby. The full awards list is here (Google translation; pictured at right is the trophy given out at the awards ceremony.

Via Dirk comes a report from last weekend's Saló Internacional del Còmic in Barcelona, where Spanish artist Max won awards for Best Book, Best Drawing and Best Script for his book Bardín el Superrealista, which we published in the U.S. under the imaginatively translated title Bardín the Superrealist. Dan Clowes also racked up some more hardware for best foreign work. Congratulations, gentlemen.
